A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph both sides of this beautiful family at the Mequon farm they bought a few years back, which they are working to renovate and will soon also consist of a gorgeous Airbnb rental. The Borchert Family was the winner of a family photography session from the silent auction at the annual Tietjstrong Fundraiser, which raises money for brain cancer research in honor of Jim Tietjen, the longtime Whitefish Bay High School who lost his battle with brain cancer in 2015. Jim’s daughter, Molly, is a teacher at my children’s school, and we connected a few years ago when Molly asked me to donate a session for this beautiful fundraiser in honor of her dad. Carly, it was so great meeting you and your entire extended family! I was so happy to connect with you and I am thrilled that together we helped to raise money for this important cause in honor of a truly great man.
