Alex and Whitney’s wedding day was one of those glorious fall days that sneak up on you out of the blue. The forecast all week was for rain and thunderstorms and I have to admit, I was a little nervous. When I arrived at the church for their ceremony, there was a light drizzle, for good luck, but by mid afternoon the sun was beginning to peek out of the clouds to warm our skin and before long, was completely enveloping Whitney and Alex in its goldeny rays of warmth. If that weren’t enough, Whitney’s bridal glow lit up the entire day, and the sparkle in Alex’s eyes when he saw her for the first time surely made every heart in the chapel skip a beat. Her smile and his sparkle, both perfect mirrors of their happiness, radiated through the entire ceremony at St. Jerome Catholic Church, which is nothing short of splendid… and the stunning lakeside views of Oconomowoc Lake Club provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of delicious food, delightful laughter and fun had by all. Clearly Whitney and Alex have impeccable taste, as evidenced not only by their choice in venues, but also by the kind and friendly people they surround themselves with. Not surprising, since they are two of the warmest people I have ever worked with. I sure hope these images tell the perfect story of their wedding day, but look no further then their radiant smiles and joyful expressions to feel the story of their love.
