This little sweetie pie, who I first met a year ago, just turned TWO and was absolutely happy as a clam while, running, hopping, exploring, climbing, swinging, sliding, looking for birdies, and picking dandelions. In other words, Adrienne had the most joyful morning, simply reveling in all the exciting new things that this beautiful park had to offer! Meanwhile, her mom, dad, and I, chased her around the park coaxing her to look, smile, stand still and pose. And this little darling wasn’t having it. She was simply delighted and beaming, running and playing and doing her own thing. Two-year old Adrienne reminded me of TWO very important lessons that morning: Be You and Enjoy the Little Things. So, I’ve decided that the next time someone asks me to do something I don’t want to do, I’m going to take a cue from sweet little Adrienne. I’m going to hop, skip, smile and run in the other direction. 🙂
