It was an honor and pleasure to photograph the 6th Annual Spread Your Wings Walk, a tribute to my former student, Michael Janasik, who lost his life to the act of a drunk driver. Michael’s spirit lives on through the many lives that he touched in his too short life, but also through his gifts of life and the many lives that he saved through organ donation. Michael’s mom, Karen, is now a dear friend of mine and a true warrior of strength, love and fortitude. I am so honored that she asked me to be a part of this beautiful tribute once again.
