I took a step back from shooting weddings a few years ago, because as a busy mom of seven I just didn’t feel like I had the time or energy to pour into them the way I used to. However, when Tom and Karin reached out to ask me to come out of “retirement” to shoot their intimate Villa Terrace wedding, I jumped at the chance! I met Tom in a widow and widowers support group a few years after I lost Mark and not long after Tom lost his beautiful wife, Kathy. Our group shares a special bond through loss. I grew to adore Tom and learned quickly that he is one of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever met. He has been an incredible supporter of the Mark Harris Fellowship Program and has gotten to know my kids and my husband, David, too. When I learned that Tom had found love again with Karin, I was absolutely thrilled! I mean, who doesn’t love LOVE?? And when a beautiful human gets a second chance at love, it doesn’t get any better than that. ❤️ So when I got an email from Karin asking to meet to talk about me documenting their special day, I was over the moon. When we met for coffee, it didn’t take long for me to realize that Karin is pretty darn special too and Tom and Karin are both completely smitten with one another. ❤️ My heart was overflowing. Which brings me to this absolutely splendid wedding at one of the most beautiful places in Milwaukee on the most gorgeous summer day. It was elegant, intimate, stunning, and heartwarmingly perfect. Tom and Karin, I was absolutely honored to capture this incredible occasion for you. I wish you a life filled with many more joyful, extraordinary and ordinary moments. I’m certain you will appreciate all of them.
